a modest town facing Rennes-le-Chateau, are projects of a certain magnitude which have been scheduled to take place.

At the origin of this initiative, is Mr. André Marcel, who has acquired all the parcels of land on which the castle of Coustaussa extends its ruins. And this is after thirty years of successive and persistent buy-backs with former landowners. The town hall itself has bought a plot of land in front of the ruins to build a parking lot. The main asset of this major project is the creation of a medieval park called Constantianum , reminding us of the first name of the village. Beforehand, three programs are envisaged: 1. Securing the site. 2. The reopening and development of the old Coustaussa road in Couiza. 3. The development of a green theater on the ground located at the entrance of the ruins, facing Rennes-le-Château.

Let us remember that Mr. André Marcel is the author of several books on the Haute Vallée de l'Aude. Couiza , in 1989, Rennes-les-Bains , in 1992, Quillan , in 2012. But also of the rare Les Montesquieu in Languedoc: History of the lords of Coustaussa , published in 1987. Finally, he just reissued, in November 2018, a revised and expanded version of his treasure proverbs , sayings and popular expressions of the Haute Vallée de l'Aude , previously published in 2007.

In this regard, let us recall that this new publication is sold for the benefit of the preservation and development of the Coustaussa castle.
